Virtual Lab Tour
Our lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Roger Adam Laboratory and is newly renovated. For those unable to visit in person, our virtual lab tour offers a glimpse through photos. If you're interested in joining our team, please visit the contact page to connect with Xiaotang.

In Rooms 336 to 342, we have benches and hoods for chemistry experiments.

Across the hallway, Room 347 houses a dedicated BSL-2 lab for our biology research.

On the ground floor, we build a Automatic Tape-collecting Ultra-Microtome (ATUM) to handle the serial ultrathin sectioning of brain tissues for volumetric electron microscopic imaging.

In the student office, we set up shared desks for neuron tracing and proofreading, along with a Lambda GPU workstation for local machine learning training. Larger computational projects are supported through Illinois Computes. Plus, we have a cozy corner for relaxation and conversation during breaks from research.
